Research Question: Does different situations affect the amount of cigarettes a person smokes in a day?
Variables
Manipulated Variable: A person is in a situation that causes them to smoke.
Responding Variable: The amount of cigarettes a person smokes in a day.
Controlled Variable: The person should be able to control the amount of cigarettes they smoke in a day.
*The variables will be measured by me conducting an experiment/survey. I will ask people the question: "What is the situation you are in that causes you to smoke the most cigarettes?"
