Project One, Part One

In this part of project one we are assigned to find a single, new art resource through online research.  We are then supposed to comment on  it.  Here I  go, have fun! Peggy

The World's Women On-Line
I have discovered the "The World's Women On-Line! is an electronic art networking project originally established to be presented at the United Nations' Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China in 1995."  Learn more about Women On-Line!

Erica Adams. This is the one that really makes me wonder just how one defines art!  I see images here.  And I truly like the colors and how they stand out.  What I don't understand is how this could represent anything to anyone!  This is not one of my favorites!  Learn more about Erica Adams

Bev Plum This one is really my most favorite.  Might be because I have a smallish amount of Choctaw Indian in me.  Might be because I'm a mom!  Might be just because I like realism!  As a matter of fact I like this one so much, I'll probably research this artist and see if  I can find more works by her, on the internet!Learn more about the artist

Learn more about Liliana Porter.

I think I like this one because it is simple.  I like that fact that there is a lot of white space in there.  And each image seems to a sign from the times.  This picture seems to represent the 1920's to me. I see a picture of a pilot, maybe Linbergh.  I see Mickey Mouse in black and white.  For all this says, it sure is sweet and simple.Learn more about the artist

Learn more about Judy Schexnayder. I am not sure just why I like this one.  I like watery things.  I love a warm rain.  The sun is here in this picture, even though it is not seen directly.   There is green on the trees which suggests a possible summer rain.  But, the picture is also dark.  Learn more about the artist
